Andrew is a senior associate in AMJ’s banking and finance team and has extensive corporate lending and finance experience specialising in trade, acquisition and property financings, and has also worked on a wide number of asset, project and Islamic finance transactions.
Andrew practised in London, Moscow and the British Virgin Islands, at major international law firms. He has particular experience of Eastern European and in particular the Russian and CIS markets having acted on a wide range of Russian, CIS and wider CEE transactions during his 10 years of practice in the region.
Andrew is recognised by Chambers Global and has twice led transactions that have been awarded Deal of the Year by Trade Finance Magazine.

- the Project Company on a $4,610,000,000 financing for the Duqm Refinery Project;
- advising Ahli Islamic (the Islamic banking window of Ahli Bank) on a US$75,000,000 Wakala bel Istithmaar Facilities Agreement to Oman Air SAOC;
- Ahli Bank SAOG as agent and the other Finance Parties in respect of a US$162,300,000 facility to Oman Air SAOC;
- National Bank of Oman SAOG on an OMR 96,250,000 facility to Oman Air SAOC;
- the Finance Parties in relation to a financing for the engineering, procurement and construction of 3 hospitals in Oman, such loans to be made to the Government of the Sultanate of Oman, represented by its Ministry of Finance;
- Standard Chartered Bank in relation to a proposed 14 year and 9 months amortising term loan facility of US$1,347,437,603 for the Government of the Sultanate of Oman, represented by its Ministry of Finance financing the development of 7 infrastructure projects in the SEZAD;
- Majid Al Futtaim on its OMR 175 million financing for the construction of the Mall of Oman;
- Sohar International Bank SAOG in connection with debt capital for Synergies Castings L.L.C to set up an aluminium alloy wheel plant at Sohar Industrial Estate;
- Duqm Material Market SAOC as the borrower in relation to a credit facility from National Bank of Oman SAOG for financing the costs and expenses of the construction and development of Phase 1 of the Sino-Oman project, a first-of-its-kind building material market with workshops and warehouse facilities in Duqm;
- the Lenders on the Ghubra 3 IWP Project;
- the Lenders on the Barka 5 IWP Project;
- the Finance Parties in respect of various facilities to Oman Shipping Company S.A.O.C. to finance tankers forming part of their fleet;
- National Bank of Oman on its restructuring of facilities made available to an Omani leisure and real estate company;
- the JGC consortium, the successful bidder on the Sharqiya IWP;

- the sponsors on a large-scale intergovernmental infrastructure project;
- a major Omani energy company on its approx US$ 750,000,000 debt financing;
- the buyers on their investment in a prominent Omani gas company;
- a property investment company on three large-scale secured debt financings;
- a plastics recycling company in relation to a third-party debt investment to increase its operating capacity, as well as licensing and other matters;
- an English Premier League football club on its £75m syndicated debt financing and other matters.
