    Mansoor J Malik is AMJ’s founder, managing partner and head of the firm’s top tier corporate commercial and dispute resolution departments. A UK-qualified barrister, Mansoor has more than 35 years’ experience of law and practice in Oman and is ranked as a star performer and leading lawyer by all major legal directories. In the non-contentious field, Mansoor’s expertise spans all aspects of corporate, banking and finance law.  He has advised on complex projects and innovative public-private partnerships including many of the jurisdiction’s most significant transactions over the past 35 years in the energy, natural resources, infrastructure, real estate and telecommunications sectors in particular.   • OQ SAOC on the launch of its global medium term notes (GMTN) programme valued at USD 2 billion bond issuance under the programme, valued at USD 750 million in the international debt capital markets.
  • Oman Telecommunications Company SAOG Group on the US$ 575 Million sale of its passive infrastructure tower assets to UK-based Helios Tower Plc though a locally established SPV.
  • Oman Investment Authority on the establishment of Muscat Bourse Company SAOC and the acquisition of the reorganized Muscat Securities Market (MSM).
  • Government and Nama Holding Company SAOC on the divestment by Nama Holdings of its 49% of its shares in Oman Electricity Transmission Company SAOC (OETC), Oman’s state-owned power transmission company, in favour of State Grid International Development Ltd, China (SGID) in the first major privatization by the Middle East’s largest non-OPEC oil producer.
  • Government of Oman on the establishment of a first of its kind US$2 Billion Infrastructure Fund of the Government of Oman (Rakiza Fund).

  • Consortium of Marubeni Corporation, Bahwan Renewable Energy Company LLC and Oman Gas Company in respect of 100 MW Amin Solar Power Project, the first of its kind.
  • Oman National Investments Development Company S.A.O.C. IDO Investments and Innovation Technical Solutions in the establishment of a company to own, operate and develop Oman’s first digital oilfield platform which provides innovative services to improve the efficiency oil and gas company operations.
  • DISPUTE RESOLUTION
  • Acted for Omani governmental entity, in an arbitration, defending against a RO 18.8m construction claim brought by the contractor which built a 5-star resort, with claim reduced by 53% in arbitration award and then award nullified on application to the appellate courts.
  • Acted for a subsidiary of a Singaporean publicly traded water company, in an arbitration, in defending against a RO 10.8m claim brought by Chinese contractor in respect of the construction of a desalination facility pursuant to an EPC contract.
  • Successfully advised, supported by KPMG, and represented an ENGIE subsidiary on a significant tax case before the Supreme Court of Oman.
  • Successfully defended a leading international auditing firm against a claim of RO. 12 million as damages allegedly suffered by the claimant on account of negligence of the auditing firm.
  • Successfully defended a shareholder in relation to a shareholder dispute under the Commercial Companies Law of Oman providing shareholders agreeing to share a company’s profits and losses disproportionate to their share in the capital of the company
